Hawaiian Bracelets

In 1880, King Kalakaua, while on a diplomatic mission in England, received a gold bracelet from Queen Victoria for Princess Liliuokalani. It was hand-engraved in solid gold with the Princess's name engraved and enameled.

Hawaiian artisans, inspired by this design, created jewelry in this fashion which was prized and passed from generation to generation. Hawaii has adopted this style of jewelry as its own. It is an important part of our island heritage.

Each bracelet shown on this page is made of 14K gold. Prices for bracelets over 11 inches in diameter will vary and should be special ordered. Size instructions: 1) Fully extend hand with fingers tightly together. 2) The point of your thumb should be tucked inside your hand, where the base of your small finger meets your hand.
